Getting Started FAQ

Short answers about what BFT is, who can join, simulated accounts, and what you pay to start.

Every BFT trading account is simulated, including the funded stage. You pay a fee for an evaluation, not a deposit.

What is Burmese Funded Trader?

Burmese Funded Trader (BFT) runs trading evaluations on simulated accounts. If you reach the profit target while following the risk rules, you receive a simulated funded account. Eligible profit on that account can earn you a performance reward of 80%, or 90% with an add-on.

What is a prop firm?

A proprietary trading firm, or prop firm, evaluates traders and shares trading profit with those who pass. At BFT, every account is simulated: you prove your skill on a simulated balance, and if you pass, eligible profit on your simulated funded account earns a performance reward.

Do I need to deposit money to start?

No. You pay a one-time fee for the evaluation you choose, plus any optional add-ons. The fee is a service fee, not a deposit, so it is not held in your name and you cannot withdraw the account balance. Yangon Standard and Mandalay refund the fee with a later payout; see Do I get my evaluation fee back?.

Are BFT accounts live or simulated?

Simulated, at every stage. Evaluation accounts and funded accounts use a simulated balance on MT5. The balance is not your money and cannot be withdrawn; what you can receive is a performance reward based on eligible profit on a funded account. A loss on the account reduces the simulated balance only.

Is this the same as investing?

No. You do not buy an asset or place money with BFT. You pay a fee for access to an evaluation, and any reward depends on your own trading results and the program rules. BFT is not a broker.

Who can join?

You must be at least 18 years old and live in a country where taking part is legal. BFT does not accept residents of the United States or of sanctioned countries. You are responsible for checking that your local laws allow you to take part.

Do I need to be a professional trader?

No, but you need to understand risk management, position sizing, and Stop Loss orders before you start. Most failed evaluations come from risking too much on one trade, trading too often, or breaking a rule, not from a lack of strategy. A free MT5 demo account is a good place to practice, and BFT Academy has free lessons.

Who runs BFT?

The BFT services are provided by ZAHA Trading LLC, a company incorporated in New Mexico, United States. The Terms and Conditions set out your agreement with the company.
